UJS School Update – July 15, 2020

July 15, 2020

Dear Parents,

We hope that you are enjoying a great West Michigan summer.  With lots of sunshine and plenty of warmth we have been blessed so far with near perfect weather.

We are excited to update you on the upcoming 2020-2021 United Jewish School year.  We are looking forward to welcoming our students back to in-person classes on Sunday, August 30.  With Covid-19 protocols in place for everyone’s well-being, we are planning for classes to be held on two campuses. Classes for Gan Katan through Grade 4 will take place at Temple Emanuel and classes for Grades 5-10 will take place at Ahavas Israel.  We are also creating a distance learning component for every grade.

We have purchased a new Judaic curriculum for Kindergarten through Grade 7 from Shalom Learning.  It is designed to be used for both in-person and virtual settings.  We have also purchased a new web-based Hebrew curriculum called JLearnHub that can also be used in for classroom or distance learning.

We are delighted to announce our teaching staff for the coming year.
